The peaceful life of a naive countryman is turned upside down when he falls for a cold-blooded yet seductive woman from the city, and the pair hatch a plot to break up his otherwise idyllic marriage. Reconsidering his violent plan at the last moment, the man follows his fleeing wife to the city in order to beg her forgiveness.

Join us for a special screening of this F.W. Murnau classic, with a Live Steinway Piano original score played by Tony Judge
Liverpool composer and pianist Tony Judge has performed his acclaimed original music for silent film for many years. This very accessible and relatable original score sits within the context of modern art music and contemporary improvisation.
