Manhunter – 40th Anniversary (18)

Cinema Rewind
  • Wednesday 4th November 19:45

Michael Mann’s brilliant adaptation of Thomas Harris’ bestseller Red Dragon offered the first screen incarnation of the iconic character Lecktor (here spelled differently from the Lecter used in other films), chillingly brought to life for the first time by Brian Cox.

Ex-FBI Profiler Will Graham, still reeling from the trauma surrounding his near-fatal capture of psychopath Hannibal Lecktor, reluctantly agrees to return to the service to help search for a serial killer law enforcement has dubbed, ‘The Tooth Fairy’. But in order to hone his instincts, Will is forced to confront the ghosts of his past and seek out Lecktor, who resides in a high-security prison.

This film is part of our Cinema Rewind series.
