Vote for Brewery Arts in BIFA’s Cinema of the Year Award!
The British Independent Film Awards (BIFA), supported by Kia, has launched the Cinema of the Year award, and Brewery Arts is proud to be in the running.
This award celebrates the vital role cinemas play in their communities, recognising the importance of shared, big-screen experiences. At Brewery Arts, our cinema programme continues to bring people in Kendal together to enjoy independent film, offering a space where audiences can connect through the art of cinema.
The award is decided by a public vote, making audience support essential. Voting is open until 22 September, with nominees announced on 3 November and the winner revealed at the BIFA ceremony on 30 November.
We encourage all supporters of Brewery Arts and independent film to cast their vote and help us secure a nomination.

BIFA’s Cinema of the Year celebrates exceptional cinemas at the heart of their communities, spotlighting independent film and uniting audiences. Supported by Kia, who have championed independent cinema since 2022, the award honours the cinemas that provide memorable, meaningful film experiences.
