Join us either Live or on Zoom for our spoken word open mic night with guest poet Gale Burns. Sign up and take part or sit back and enjoy a feast of words.

About our guest

Prize-winning poet Gale Burns is a London writer in residence at Kingston University, where he has taught Creative Writing. He convenes the long-running Shuffle poetry series in London, and was a 2012 Hawthornden Fellow. He is widely published with three pamphlets and his collection Mute House is out from Eyewear.  His work has been translated into French, Romanian, Slovenian and Arabic, and he often performs here and abroad. He was until recently the Vice-President of the European Association of Creative Writing Programmes and in 2017 was awarded a Special Prize at the International Literary Festival in Indjija, Serbia. 

Please email annthepoet@gmail.com to book your open mic spot of up to 4 mins including introductions. Please include your poems/stories typed in a Word document so this can be screen shared during your performance, please state if you will be attending live or on Zoom.
