Zoe is an Artistic Collaborator with Barcelona International Dance Exchange as well as a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Zoë’s classes:

She is a festival adjudicator for The British and International Federation of Festivals (BIFF) the Theatre Dance Council International (TDCI) and Miss Dance.

Orla Collier (she/her) is a freelance dance artist, physical theatre practitioner and life model. She is from Kendal and based in Leeds. She graduated with a first-class degree from Rambert School and then completed a MA with distinction at Northern School of Contemporary Dance as part of the post-graduate company VERVE. She has since worked in a variety of interdisciplinary performance projects with companies/artists such as The Knotted Project, Nigel Stewart, Ludus Dance, Wiebke Acton, Displace Yourself Theatre, Interplay Theatre, Jack Philp Dance, and Kennedy Muntanga Dance Theatre. She has also created solo works, such as ‘Are you Local?’ commissioned by Great Place: Lakes & Dales and The Dukes Theatre, and ‘Sometimes I hate going for walks in nice places that look nice’ commissioned by The Knotted Project. Orla’s practice focuses on using her body to express feelings or experiences that can otherwise be difficult to express or accept.

Orla’s classes:

Expect an introspective and juicy session. We’ll start off with a simple warm-up, moving into guided improvisations, and finishing off by learning a short piece of choreography. The guided movement improvisations will introduce you to various textures, imagery, and emotions which are in the final phrase, allowing you to feel them for yourself and relate it to the way you move. The choreography is taken from a solo piece, ‘Are you Local?’, created by Orla and is physically rich with elements of story.

Paige Douglas graduated from the University of Lancashire with a BA Hons in Dance Performance and Teaching in 2022. In this role, she supports theatre artists to explore movement and create movement pieces from their own stories. Paige is passionate about the benefits of dance in supporting wellbeing and her sessions are a caring, supportive place to learn dance technique and explore your own creativity. Her movement style is grounded in contemporary technique, with influence from her somatic practice training at university and ongoing ballet training.

Paige’s classes:

Expect technique exercises, movement combinations, creative tasks and opportunities to connect with each other in the space throughout the session. Let’s dance together!
