Family Fridays: Printmaking introduces participants to a range of different printmaking techniques, such as monotype and drypoint.
This workshop is suitable for family members who would love to spend some creative time together and have always wanted to try printmaking.
If you would like to book as a family or group of friends, please contact Learning and Engagement Manager claire.williams@breweryarts.co.uk for further information.
What will the class cover and how will it be taught?
Through both group and one-to-one tutoring, alongside practical demonstrations, participants will learn how to use various specialist printing equipment, such as the printing press, to create different types of prints. Initially, the focus of the workshop will be on experimentation with mark-making, creating texture, shape, and form using different techniques, leading to creating your own limited edition prints.
Who is it suitable for?
Printmaking is accessible and fun for all abilities and ages. This workshop is catered towards both the adults and young people (aged 12+) attending the session together, in a special family focussed experience.
What do I need to bring?
Please bring an apron and/or wear clothes you do not mind getting dirty. Bring your glasses, if you need them.
