Have you wanted to give our incredible clay courses a go but you’re not sure if it’s for you? Join our resident ceramist and artist, Chris Barnes, to explore clay and get your hands dirty in our studio in a fun, informal and introductory way!

What will the class cover and how will it be taught?

Within Introduction to Clay, you will explore clay, pottery and ceramic techniques in a simple and informal fashion. Discover new skills and see what you can create!

Who is it suitable for? 

This class is suitable for people of all abilities and is perfect for those who have been thinking about giving our 10 week classes a go but want to have a little introduction first.

What do I need to bring?

All materials provided. Just bring yourself, and wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty.

Important Information

Participants need to be 16+ yrs. Sessions will be held in studio 2.

Are there any additional costs?

No.

About the tutor

Chris Barnes has a degree in Sculpture and has worked as a professional potter since 1992. He has taught Pottery with adults since 1994 and has experience of teaching Art in schools from Infant to Secondary School level.
