Develop Your Screenplay | Thu 27 Apr to Thu 13 Jul | 6.30-8.30pm | £150 (10 wks) | 16+ yrs | Tutor Karen Featherstone | Digital Lounge
Join us for an ongoing series of guided workshops with the aim to take your screenplay to the next level.
These workshops are suitable for participants with at least one completed script that they are keen to work on, so this is not a class for complete beginners. Writers will be invited to share work and give reciprocal feedback on other group members’ scripts in constructive sessions. Spotlights will be put on different aspects of the craft and helpful exercises will develop the skills required to write a good screenplay. This is a valuable opportunity to gain screenwriting feedback in a friendly, supportive setting.
What will the class cover and how will it be taught?
Over 10 weeks, participants will use development processes including guided feedback, stream-of-consciousness exercises, table reads, professional formatting tips and techniques to activate and visualise stories on the page.
The course demystifies the industry, and the tutor will share resources for getting your script read, and pitching… If that is what you’re ready for.
Come prepared to share your work in a supportive guided writers’ room environment.
Who is it suitable for?
Develop Your Screenplay is suitable for screenwriters with a first draft of a feature film or TV pilot, and who wish to develop it further.

There are no sessions during the weeks beginning 29 May and 5 June.
What do I need to bring?
