February’s live music line-up features intimate performances from Niall McCabe and Amber Run, folk legends Martin and Eliza Carthy, alongside shows from Solstice, Ashley Campbell and China Crisis.
Cinema lovers can dive into music and storytelling with It’s Never Over, Jeff Buckley and the immersive R.E.M. x Buster Keaton’s Sherlock Jr.. Our Creative Learning Programme invites you to slow down, get creative, and connect. Welcoming both familiar and new faces, we are offering a vibrant mix of courses and workshops designed for all ages and abilities. Explore painting, printmaking, movement, photography, film, and more in an open, welcoming creative environment.
Try your hand at something new this February with our upcoming workshops, Painting Figures in Watercolour and Tetra Pak Printing. Get to know and create alongside resident and exhibiting artist, Lela Harris, in our family workshop Held in Nature and adult workshop Held in Ink.
Weekly movement classes are also running throughout February, with Get Moving for adults and Mini Movers for tots—perfect for building confidence, creativity, and connection through movement.

Cinema
Audiences can explore powerful storytelling through director Q&As in our Environmental and Adventure Film Season, featuring Fires and Fascism, A Thousand Words and 3000 Feet.
Discover standout films such as Ghost Killer, What Should We Have Done?, The Final Piece, Adabana and ANGRY SQUAD in the Japan Foundation Touring Film Programme 2026, celebrating The True Self in Japanese cinema.
For world-class performance on screen, National Theatre Live: The Audience arrives from 26 February, while The Royal Ballet’s Olivier Award-winning Woolf Works is screened on 12 February.

Exhibitions
February marks the opening of two new exhibitions, each rooted in local talent and creative expression. We continue to welcome submissions for our annual Brewery Arts Open 2026, inviting artists to contribute to a vibrant, community-led exhibition of local voices and diverse practise.
Held | 6 Feb – 2 May | Sugar Store Gallery
Held, by Lela Harris, welcomes audiences to explore her story and practice, centring on an intimate dialogue between self and landscape. This solo exhibition unfolds across delicately fractured paper panels, revealing layers of connection and care. You are invited to step into Lela’s creative world through two accompanying workshops: Held in Nature and Held in Ink.
Light – Shape – Distance | 6 Feb – 2 May | Foyer Gallery
Light – Shape – Distance celebrates Stuart Irving, our Brewery Arts Open 2025 Judges’ Choice Award winner. Through bold, abstract paintings, Irving reimagines natural landscapes and architectural forms as dreamlike spaces, capturing the beauty of the world through the artist’s own eyes.

Food & Drink
The venue’s Bar & Restaurant celebrates the best of the Lakes with vibrant seasonal menus, craft beers, and small-batch cocktails made with locally sourced ingredients.
