Live Music Highlights
Our Live Music programme is bursting with incredible artists from across the UK and beyond. We’re welcoming internationally recognised names alongside some of the most exciting rising talent.
Moving Pictures (10 Sep) bring their tribute to Rush, as they celebrate 50 years of their 2112 album, whilst Altered Images (21 Sep) also reach a milestone with their happy birthday album turning 45! Other highlights include Irish honey-voiced Mary Coughlan (24 Sep), Grammy-winning guitarist Albert Lee (10 Oct) and a farewell tour from the always popular Ferocious Dog (5 Nov).
Comedy & Family Fun
Our Comedy line-up is unmatched this season, with big names such as Scott Bennett (4 Nov) already at a sell-out! Rising star Larry Dean (27 Nov) brings his new tour after appearing on the smash hit British show Saturday Night Live, proving his talent to a whole new audience. Vittorio Angelone (7 Oct) brings his witty and cheeky stand-up and that impressive moustache, whilst Ian Stone (11 Nov) delivers his no-nonsense opinions on anything and everything!
Nick Cope (31 Oct) makes an anticipated return this Halloween, bringing all his classic songs and impressive costumes with his new family show. Moving into December, we’re already excited for this year’s Christmas show – The Elves & the Shoemaker! (19-28 Dec). The perfect tradition for all the family, join some cheeky elves as they try and save their home!
Big Screen Moments
Cinema lovers, our Event Cinema programme this season includes: Hadestown (22 Oct), GIANT – The Play (from 26 Nov), The Nutcracker (1 Dec), and so much more.
Our Beyond Horizons environmental and social justice film festival kicks off with Our Planet, The People, My Blood (10 September), exploring the devastating legacy of nuclear weapons testing, followed by a live Director Q&A. Later in the month, It’ll Never Work and X Trillion (30 September) are followed by a special Q&A with X Trillion director Eleanor Church.
Halloween Season is creeping up… Cine-Macabre brings a season of cult horror, we bring supernatural cinema and big-screen scares to our screens this autumn. For families we have Hocus Pocus (24 Oct) – which you can combine with Frightful Family Crafts (24 Oct). Iconic anniversary screenings include The Omen – 50th Anniversary (7 Oct), Manhunter – 40th Anniversary (4 Nov) and The Silence of the Lambs – 35th Anniversary (10 Oct.
Creative Learning: Try Something New This Autumn
As we step into the ‘ber months, our Creative Learning season features festive workshops, perfect for getting into the holiday spirit and making memories with the family.
A unique workshop to take part in, Lampshade Upholstery With Cable and Blake (24 Oct) will get your creativty flowing, and leave you with the skills to continue at home or discover the basics of watercolour with Abstract Watercolour Landscapes (17 Oct).
There’s truly something for everyone – from family workshops to full courses and masterclasses.
