Want to learn how to use a film camera? Interested in developing your own prints? On this brand new course, professional photographer Tim Murray will guide you all the way from learning the functions on a film camera and improving your photographic compositions to the printing process and producing your own prints in the Brewery Darkroom.
This class has just completed its second year. If you feel you grasp the basics in terms of verb conjugation in the present tense and passato prossimo, have a basis in everyday vocabulary, can get by at a basic level in everyday situations and wish to build upon all of this, then this course should suit you.
This unique workshop is led by Theresa Taylor, one of the artists exhibiting in the show ‘Spatiality’ in the Brewery’s Sugar Store Gallery in Spring 2020. You will have the opportunity to create experimental layered prints combining drypoint and monoprint techniques.
Create prints through the exciting processes of etching. Using copper sulphate and aluminium plates, Karen Lester will guide you through the processes of plate preparation, etching, inking and printing. Suitable for those new to etching and for those with some experience.
This course explores further approaches to drawing, encouraging freer looser ways to work using exercises and experimenting with a range of media to create marks; watersoluble drawing materials, chalk, graphite sticks, charcoal and coloured paper.
