Hollie McNish is a poet and author based between Glasgow and Cambridge. She was the first poet to record at Abbey Road Studios, London and won the Ted Hughes Award for New Work in Poetry for her poetic parenting memoir. This is titled Nobody Told Me – of which The Scotsman subsequently stated ‘The World Needs this Book’. She has published five further collections of poetry – Papers, Cherry Pie, Plum, and Slug and Lobster, both Sunday Times bestsellers. Her next book is out in October 2025. She loves writing.

Michael Pedersen is a prize-winning Scottish poet and author. Moreover, he is the Writer in Residence at The University of Edinburgh and the Edinburgh Makar (Poet Laureate). His prose debut Boy Friends was published by Faber & Faber. It received rave reviews soon after and was a Sunday Times Critics’ Choice. Additionally, he’s unfurled three collections of poetry, the most recent being The Cat Prince & Other Poems — which won the Books Are My Bag Readers Award for Best Poetry 2023. Notably, Pedersen has twice been shortlisted for the Forward Prizes for Poetry and additionally  The Scottish National Book Awards. He has also won a Robert Louis Stevenson Fellowship. His work has attracted praise markedly from the likes of: Stephen Fry, Shirley Manson, Jackie Kay, Irvine Welsh, Sara Pascoe, Nicola Sturgeon & many more. His debut novel (Muckle Flugga) was published by Faber in May 2025.
