Classes For Adults

Arts and Crafts

We have a wide range of art and craft classes to help you release that creative energy – all taught by friendly and experienced tutors. This season we have introduced How to Use a Sewing Machine to give you the confidence to get your sewing machine out from the cupboard and put it to work with textiles and fabrics. There are also brilliant beginner sessions to learn new skills like Black And White Film Photography, Life Drawing, and Oil Painting. And of course, our popular Art In The Bar sessions which feature a variety of craft lessons accompanied by delicious pizza. To view all our adult arts and craft classes click here.

Music

Feeling musical? Start singing and socialising with our brilliant bunch in the Brewery Arts Choir! Or if you are tuning into the idea of learning an instrument, then why not try our Beginner Ukulele lessons. It is easy to learn a few chords and strumming patterns that will enable you to play some well-known songs.

Our popular Mature Movers class is a brilliant opportunity to socialise while keeping fit. Act Your Age continues this season which is a brilliant way to reconnect with past talents or simply unleash your theatrical side. This is a sociable group where you will also learn and develop acting skills without pressure.

Classes For Young People

Arts and Crafts

Classes such as Makers Club, Art Explorers, and Artseen will continue for children to immerse themselves in a number of projects and take inspiration from a diverse range of artists and makers. Equally, we have introduced workshops such as Fashion Futures where young people with a specific interest can learn more about the topic they love. Music

Last season we introduced Young Music Producers where young people came together to write and record their own music. Following its success, we have introduced Electronic Music Production for ages 15-19 who wish to also explore beat making, synth programming and lyric writing.

Dance and Theatre

Our well-loved performance classes continue this term taught by Emily Davies our Dance Coordinator, and Emily Baxter our Theatre Coordinator. Stage Stars returns for young children to move, create and play while working on different skills for the stage. Equally our usual youth dance and drama lessons all continue this season which offer young people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to develop their skills, make new friends, and most importantly have fun. You can view all our young people’s dance and drama classes here.
