Watercolour Landscape Painting Course Information

The key to great watercolour painting is in its simplification. You will learn how to develop your skills to paint skies, fells, water and trees. Gain confidence in colour mixing focusing on springtime colours.

Karen has enjoyed working with different media over the last 20 years, culminating in exhibitions at galleries in Lancashire and Cumbria. Whilst studying for a Foundation Degree in Drawing with the University of Cumbria, she developed her interest in printmaking, using printed images in installation work and experimenting with techniques such as sandblasting Perspex plates for printing.

She produces prints inspired by different sources from the Cumbrian landscapes to the styles of the 1970s, the taxidermy collections at Kendal Museum and the natural world of the forest.
