Fri 13 Apr – Fri 25 May | 6.30-9.30pm | with Chris Barnes | £90
This is an introductory Pottery course for beginners and returning students who wish to develop their work. The course explores the practical and creative applications of clay and covers a wide variety of traditional pottery techniques. Students will learn how to work safely and creatively in a pottery studio, how to make thrown and hand built pieces – and gain knowledge of decorative techniques using oxides, slips and glazes. Experienced students will learn to improve and refine their work with new techniques.
The class is run with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. A creative approach to design and making is encouraged.
A charge will be made for additional materials purchased during the course. Please note there will be no class on Fri 4th or Fri 11th May.
