This course is for those who have already completed 5-6 years’ study, have an ‘O’-level/ GCSE or can express themselves in the present, past, future and conditional tenses.
What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
During the course, you will learn to describe your interests and leisure, express your ideas with confidence on a range of topics, talk about present, past, future and conditional events.
A wide range of activities will be used to encourage all students to participate and progress: listening and reading, question and answer, role-plays, communication games and grammar exercises. You will study some authentic documents: read articles from French newspapers and listen to French radio programs.
There will be opportunities for individual, pair and group work as well as teacher-led activities.
Please note there are no classes on the following dates:
Autumn term: 8 October & 12 November. A class will run on Tue 22 October.
Spring term: 17 February
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a pen, a notebook, a French dictionary if you have one and your glasses if you need them.

About the tutor
Dominique Pluskwa is a native French speaker, was born in Paris and studied History at La Sorbonne. She moved to Kendal in 1999 and has taught French since 2002, both privately and for small groups as well as at the Brewery.
