About the course:
Squarespace is a popular website building platform, noted for its contemporary and intuitive approach to design. No coding knowledge is required to create a website using Squarespace, the user-friendly tools allow you build a website to your own specifications and customise the design. All Squarespace sites are fully optimised for mobile as well as desktop.
This course is perfect for anyone wanting to get their own, professional looking presence up online, either a portfolio website or an e-commerce store. No coding or prior Squarespace knowledge is needed. We only require you to be familiar with your own laptop and have either the latest version of Chrome or Firefox installed to work with.
What do I need to bring with me?
Please bring a laptop with either the latest version of Chrome or Firefox installed to work with pen, notebook and your glasses, if you need them.

The course will teach you how to build a website with the Squarespace platform.
Through tutor led demonstrations the course will cover the full design and build of a 5 page website, from setting up and installing a template through to adding content and personalising the design of your website. We will show you how to add more pages to your site and maintain your site going-forward.
We will also provide wider reading and resources on web design principles and best practice for those wishing to continue their learning.
By the end of the two sessions you will:
-Have set up your own 5 page Squarespace website.
-Be confident in how to change the design of your website.
-Be confident in how to add additional content to you website and add various types of content.
-Be familiar with the admin areas of Squarespace and how to edit your site in future.
-Be able to launch your website when ready.
Most of the Brewery is accessible for those who consider themselves to have a disability. There is a lift to all floors within the main building and adapted toilets. On occasion classes may take place in Room 14, a room with access via stairs only. Audio Description (AD) is available in Screen 1. Infrared audio system is available in both Cinema Screens 1 and 2. Induction loops (T) are in place in the Theatre, please ask for assistance on the door.
Some live events may carry strict age restrictions, these are outlined on our website. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times during evening events.
