We are kickstarting the spooky season with a visit from the extra-terrestrial HENGE, and the ‘squally, squeaky mix of discordant vocal beauty’ from Kristin Hersh, whilst spirits are lifted by legendary comedians, Mark Steel, Ria Lina, and Pete Firman.

HENGE return to Brewery Arts gifting humankind with their otherworldly music, and an extra special Family Matinee performance, Damien O’Kane & Ron Block cause fireworks with a blend of American bluegrass and Irish tenor banjos, whilst Scott Matthews performs his renowned acoustic delicacy, cementing his undeniable mastery as one of our greatest songsmiths.

Alternative music lovers will enjoy performances from Kristin Hersh, of 50FootWave and Throwing Muses, and The Trials Of Cato, who were described by BBC 2’s Mark Radcliffe as “quite the thing to be reckoned with!”

Acclaimed performance artist Victoria Melody showcases her brand-new show ‘Head Set’, and Mr Bubbles is back with his extraordinary soap bubbles in all shapes and sizes; The Bubble Show is an interactive, fun, internationally award-winning bubble extravaganza. Lakeland Canoe Club host the annual Paddling Film Festival, inspiring us to push extremes and appreciate the wild.

Halloween Special Pumpkins, Pizza and Mystery Movies

Get into the spirit of the spooky season with a range of seasonal workshops and activities this October including Halloween Special: Pumpkins Pizza And Mystery Movies, Autumnal Embroidery Hoops, and autumnal-themed Art In The Bar and Crafternoon Brew sessions.

New this autumn, families with children under 4 can settle into our Digital Lounge to enjoy the Mini Movies Halloween Special, and young people under 9 are invited to The Nightmare Before Christmas watch party!

There are limited places available on the handful of weekly classes which commence in October, including Printmaking For Beginners, as well as our monthly film club, Cine-Social.

Cinema & Stage On Screen

Take a nostalgic trip down memory lane and relive a golden age of comedy, during Another Fine Mess! Laurel & Hardy Silent Shorts, brought to life with a live improvised accompaniment played on Brewery Arts’ Steinway Piano.

Journey through the wonders of Ancient Egypt from the comfort of Kendal as the spectacular stage show The Prince of Egypt – The Musical is debuted in UK cinemas, filmed live at the Dominion Theatre in London.

Complete the Stage On Screen experience with Prosecco and Canapés, available to enjoy during the interval of each screening.
