July is the month of fun, fables and free music in our garden!

Femi Kuti & The Positive Force join us to dance the night away in the Malt Room, and Kitchen Zoo has a suitcase packed full of puppets and props to tell the tale of The Tortoise & The Hare. Enjoy the summer sun and disco with High Fade during the first of many Summer Sundays, kicking off towards the end of July.

Based on the classic fable, this brand-new piece of family-friendly theatre features dynamic storytelling, clowning, live music and brilliant puppetry, all told from the inside of a suitcase. Join Kitchen Zoo at Brewery Arts for an unexpected dash to the finish line!

Femi Kuti is an iconic name in Afrobeat, funk, and soul-jazz, with global acclaim. He is a saxophonist, composer, bandleader, activist, Grammy-nominee, son of Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti, and a serial collaborator known for working with Coldplay, D’Angelo, Macy Gray, The Soultronics, Nile Rodgers and Roy Hargrove. This show promises a spicy performance full of surprises.

Bring your family and friends (and the sunshine if you can) to enjoy some quality, FREE entertainment in Kendal’s biggest beer garden. Kicking off this year’s Summer Sundays on 30 July is High Fade; Scotland’s freshest offering in the new era of Funk and Disco, quickly rising in the UK funk scene.

Take advantage of the Summer Sunday Food Menu featuring our notorious stone-baked pizzas, burgers and some of your favourite dishes, or, enjoy an American-style hotdog or chilli nachos outside in the Garden, with vegan, gluten-free, and children’s options always available.
