Gather your friends and family for a joyful Christmas at Brewery Arts in Kendal. With heartwarming theatre, festive films, live music, creative crafts and seasonal food, it’s the perfect place to make magical memories together.

Family Fun

This Christmas, Stuff and Nonsense Theatre Company return to Brewery Arts with their brand-new show, The Three Little Pigs! Running from 20–28 December, this joyful, high-energy performance is packed with laughter, puppetry and audience participation. Join three problem-solving pigs as they try to outsmart the Big Bad Wolf in this clever and hilarious retelling of the classic tale.

Families can enjoy even more piggy fun with themed activities, an interactive Trotter Trail, Once Upon A Time Youth Arts Exhibition, and the chance to meet the cast after the shows on Tuesday 23 December. Pair your visit with a festive bite – our Main Menus feature delicious seasonal dishes for little piggies and grown-ups alike.

Festive Films

Get cosy and settle in for a magical line-up of festive favourites on the big screen. This winter, Brewery Arts will be showing beloved classics, including Love Actually, Home Alone and How the Grinch Stole Christmas, as well as a special Polar Express Pyjama Party for families looking to make movie night extra memorable.

Theatre lovers can enjoy the enchantment of The Royal Ballet’s The Nutcracker on 10 December, while opera fans can look forward to Andrea Chénier: The Met Opera on the big screen.

Live Music

Turning up the volume this Christmas, Brewery Arts presents a vibrant line-up of live music. The season kicks off with Eliza Carthy & Jon Boden’s Wassail on 26 November, followed by Cloudbusting: The Music of Kate Bush – Christmas Special on 6 December. Jazz Club follows on 11 December, bringing soulful, velvety tunes from rising saxophonist and composer Eleanor Colee, whose fresh blend of contemporary and spiritual jazz promises an intimate and atmospheric night.

Get ready for a high-energy evening with Shania & Country Legends on 13 December, a dazzling tribute packed with all the hits, humour and costume changes celebrating Shania Twain and country icons from Dolly Parton to The Eagles. The festive fun continues with Britpop favourites My Life Story on 12 December, and local legends The Seals on 19 December. From smooth jazz to country anthems and feel-good local favourites, Brewery Arts is the place to be for live entertainment this Christmas.

Comedy & Spoken Word

Laugh, unwind and be inspired this December with a line-up that’s guaranteed to lift your spirits. The ever-popular Comedy Club returns on 5 December with a festive night of funnies featuring Kate McCabe, Tom Little, David Stanier and Allyson June Smith. Don’t miss Josie Long: Now Is The Time Of Monsters on 12 December, a sharp and imaginative new show from the three-time Edinburgh Comedy Award nominee. Then, on 13 December, Verbalise brings together emerging voices and established artists for an evening of spoken word, featuring guest poet Dominic Berry, known for his energetic and uplifting performances. Christmas Crafting

Try your hand at something new in our Introduction to Life Drawing workshop on 6 December, or browse Craft Market Kendal from 28–30 November, featuring beautifully handmade gifts and contemporary crafts by talented makers from across the North. It’s the perfect place to shop local and find something truly special this Christmas.
