Summer is on its way and so is our amazing June lineup!
We’re kicking off the month with our brand-new Jazz Club on 5 June. Enjoy velvety tunes from Manchester band Nonunonu in a relaxed setting complete with mood lighting, good vibes, drinks and pizza. On 13 June, Scottish alt-rockers Twin Atlantic will be performing in the Malt Room and on 14 June The Specials Ltd. will be paying homage to The Specials, with an energetic and exciting gig that’s not to be missed!
Bi-Curious George will be paying us a visit on 12 June, as part of Kendal Pride. Join this award-winning drag king for a show unlike any other! On 26 June you can catch Dad’s Army Radio Show, which bring’s Perry and Croft’s classic BBC comedy to life in a highly acclaimed stage production.
We have some wonderful workshops coming up including More Oil Painting with artist tutor Catherine MacDiarmid on 11 June. If you’ve always wanted to try pottery, Discover Pottery Throwing on 7 June is for you – get messy, learn about clay and have fun on the wheel!

Stage on Screen
Gillian Anderson, Vanessa Kirby, and Ben Foster lead the cast in National Theatre Live: A Streetcar Named Desire – Tennessee Williams’ timeless masterpiece, which is showing in our cinema from 5 – 25 June.
On 5 June, we’re showing Il Barbiere di Siviglia from the Metropolitan Opera. Il Barbiere di Siviglia is an opera in four acts by Italian composer Gioachino Rossini and is regarded as ‘perhaps the greatest of all comic operas’.

Creative Learning
Join us for wonderful workshops! Try something new, develop your craft, or bring your friends along. We also have some fantastic weekly pay-as-you-go classes, perfect for those who are on the go and need some flexibility.
Have you ever wanted to try creating with clay? Join our resident ceramist and artist, Chris Barnes, on 14 June for an Introduction to Clay. Explore clay and get your hands dirty in our studio in a fun, informal, and introductory way!
In our cyanotype workshop on 7 June, use the power of the sun to create beautiful, one-off photographic prints. In our Watercolour Portraits session on 21 June, develop different watercolour portrait painting techniques. Build your confidence and complete a watercolour portrait in a day!
We have some fantastic pay-as-you-go classes for those who like a bit of flexibility. From fun for tots in Mini Makers and Mini Movers sessions, to something for adults who like to groove in our Get Moving class, we’ve got plenty for you to get involved with!

Open to all local young artists aged 4-18yrs. It is free to enter and selected works will be exhibited in the Brewery Arts Sugar Store Gallery from 25 July – 13 September 2025.

From 15 May, we’re serving up a brand-new menu packed with flavour! With local produce at its heart, the menu is made for sharing – from tasty loaded fries, to drinks in the sun with beverages from Lakes Brew Co., Farm Yard Brew Co. and Stainton Wines.
On Tuesday and Wednesday nights, you can enjoy our midweek menu where pizzas and burgers are just £10. Plus, if you’re catching a film, cinema-goers get a free drink on us!*
Come by for a cheeky weekend tipple or a delicious bite to eat! We’re now open on Sundays from 12–7pm, with food served until 6pm in the Restaurant.
