We will make music together using Ableton, learning how to create sounds and record, using production techniques and our own creative ideas to have fun and make noise!

What will the class cover and how will it be taught?

An introduction to ableton, music production, creating music and how to explore our own ideas and build confidence in creativity. The class will be taught in a practical immersive way, where we learn by doing and making. You will be introduced to the Digital Audio Workstation, you will build sound ideas together, and you will dive into production, developing sounds into a piece of music (or song)

Who is it suitable for?

If you’ve always had melodies and rhythms you’ve wanted to capture, or if you want to explore a new sonic creative practice and meet people on a similar journey, this is your chance to dive in headfirst and see where it leads. Complete beginners welcome, and those who wish to build their confidence, to refresh their skills, or to collaborate with others.

What do I need to bring?

An open mind and a phone, tablet or notebook for gathering notes. Instruments and voices also welcome!
