Creative Learning Spanish Year 5

Autumn 12 Sept – 12 Dec | Spring 9 Jan – 2 April | 1-3pm | Tutor Pilar Valera | £150 (12 weeks)

You feel confident when introducing yourself in Spanish, you can talk about your house, family & town. You can order a meal and get by in Spain but you are itching to speak about “normal” issues and express your point of view. This course aims to consolidate & develop your reading, speaking, writing & grammar skills (you must know how to use the indicative mood as we move to the subjunctive) so you can do so.

What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?

Grammatical structures will be covered in a light-hearted and enjoyable approach to Spanish with students encouraged to develop all four language skills (speaking, listening, reading and writing) This course is suitable for those who have completed a 3rd year of Spanish or for those who are able to get by in Spanish.

You need to be familiar with the past tense, future & conditional tenses. We will cover the command and start on subjunctive.

We will also cover some history, social events, economy issues and politics of Spain today.

We will split the teaching time into listening exercises, conversation & games activities to develop your oral skills, reading tasks and some grammar explanations. We will work with grammar, reading & writing exercises at home.

Your tutor will discuss the course content with the class and may make some adjustments to the syllabus based on the needs of the group. She will also try to accommodate individual requirements where possible.
