What will the course or workshop cover and how will it be taught?
During the workshop, Priscilla will share with you the creative techniques developed through her own experimentations and making. Inspired by whatever theme you wish you will explore a variety of materials including wire, wax, and silk to create structures that can be embellished with paper, buttons, beads and found ephemera. Priscilla will support you through the processes and techniques encouraging you to develop personal work that relates to you.

About the tutor
Priscilla’s practice is rooted in contemporary textiles but encompasses a broad range of materials, processes and techniques. Her work explores themes relating to identity, memory and nostalgia drawing inspiration from her collections of found objects, literature and film.
Priscilla has over 20 years of teaching experience working in Higher Education lecturing in several Fashion and Textile Departments including the University of Salford and University of Cumbria. She currently tutors for the University of Creative Arts in Farnham through their partner OCA and runs independent workshops for schools, colleges and galleries.
