Life Drawing Masterclass | Sat 4 Nov | 11am-5pm | £50 | 18+ yrs | Tutor Catherine MacDiarmid | Studio 3
Take your drawing skills to another level with this intensive workshop covering observational drawing skills and measuring techniques, culminating in a longer-developed drawing.
What will the day cover and how will it be taught?
This is an opportunity for people of all abilities to develop life-drawing skills in an intensive day-long workshop.
The day will be structured to include a series of enjoyable exercises that cover a variety of mark-making and observational skills, ending in a long pose in the afternoon. Emphasis will be put on challenging your drawing practice and improving measuring for accuracy within life drawing. The longer pose will give you the opportunity to push your drawings to another level.
A life model will be present. Through a combination of practical work, tutor demonstration and group discussion, you will:
- Practice and develop measuring techniques within life drawing.
- Develop the representation of tone and structure in life drawing.
- Complete a more developed life drawing.
- Appreciate life drawings and paintings by some other artists.
