What will the class cover and how will it be taught?
Across ten weeks, this class will explore fundamental techniques of storytelling and prose writing suitable for both long and short stories. Sessions will introduce a range of fiction forms and the essentials of character, story structure, pace, prose style, editing and much more – as well as exploring broader creative processes and writing routines. Whether you’re brand new to writing or returning to fiction after years away, this class is a supportive space to experiment with writing and develop new ideas.
