2-3.30pm | Open to Families – Children aged 5+ with a responsible adult
Join us for a festive family printmaking workshop! Make your own handmade Christmas wrapping paper using lino and other block printing techniques. Explore patterns, colour and design while creating beautiful papers perfect for wrapping gifts.
What will the workshop cover and how will it be taught?
This fun and festive family workshop will firstly introduce participants to the basics of lino and block printing. Working together, adults and children will learn how to create simple designs inspired by Christmas themes, patterns and seasonal imagery.
Participants will explore mark-making, colour, repetition and composition before printing their designs onto large sheets of paper to create unique handmade wrapping paper.
The workshop will be taught through step-by-step demonstrations, practical activities and individual guidance, making it altogether accessible for complete beginners. Children and adults will be encouraged to experiment, share ideas and also develop their own creative designs in a relaxed and supportive environment. By the end of the session, families will leave with a collection of personalised wrapping papers ready to use for Christmas gifts.
