We bring in the New Year with the return of our fantastically funny Comedy Club, featuring some of the best UK comedians on the UK stand-up circuit for your laughing pleasure!

This month’s cracking club features the comedy skills of James Cook, Karen Bayley, Steve Day and Andy White!

Grab a pizza before the comedy begins! Place your order at our foyer bar or upstairs in the main bar. Tell us what you would like along with your table number and we will deliver it directly to your table. Pizza orders must be made before 7.40pm on the night!

Please note our Cabaret seating is set out in tables of 8 and are unreserved. Doors open at 7pm.

Karen Bayley

Delightfully saucy, her friendly and confident stage presence combined with a killer wit, an infectious giggle, and some devastating one-liners, make her a comedic force to be reckoned with. Karen has a warm and welcoming, but saucy and spiky, edge. Her bold, no-nonsense attitude strikes a perfect pitch with men and women alike.

Karen has recently been supporting Joe Lycett on his tour.

Steve Day

Steve Day describes himself as Britain’s only deaf comedian. If there are any others… He hasn’t heard. Actually, a couple of others have started since he wrote that joke! For the past eleven years, Steve has been performing to huge laughter around the country, and abroad… Well, they tell him the laugh was huge to humour him, he doesn’t know either way.

Steve Day is a truly unique comedian; warm, witty, and engaging whilst dealing with the dilemmas of being a deaf man in a hearing world. Steve went on his first national tour in 2006 and has since been performing globally to critical acclaim.

Andy White

Andy White is an energetic, confident and silly Brummie who combines numerous voices and a mad afro to devastating comedic effect. Andy combines observational and topical humour with his mixed-race background to create clever, cheeky or just plain silly comedy.

Andy has entertained audiences young and old at home and abroad in comedy clubs, theatres, corporate events, universities and on radio and TV. He regularly headlines up and down the UK, and has worked with all of the major clubs and promoters along the way.

James Cook

Not to be confused with the explorer, the bass player in the Arctic Monkeys, a character off of Skins, the BBC’s Scotland correspondent, the Australian Rules footballer, the boxer, the square in Middlesbrough, the University in Queensland or the type of Mercedes Mini-van.

“An award-winning commercial radio presenter and stand-up comedian, his laid-back attitude, dry sense of humour, and sharp tongue are a rare mix that always fascinates his audiences” – Funhouse Comedy.

You can often find him performing at clubs such as The Glee, Jongleurs, and Komedia among others, and he’s a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe, either doing stand-up or performing shows about board gaming.

His act has been described as “truly original” by Danny Wallace, whereas he’s been called “suave and chirpy” by the publishing powerhouse, the Bromsgrove Advertiser, and a “sarcastic raconteur” by the Leeds Metro.

For some reason, this means that he has been likened to “the future Frank Skinner” by Birmingham Metro and “Dylan Moran’s younger brother” by The Stage. How this is possible, remains a mystery.
