Ceramic Christmas Lanterns | Sat 9 Dec | 12-3pm | £35 | 18+ yrs | Tutor Chris Barnes | Studio 2
This three-hour workshop is fun, festive, and exploration-focused, during which participants will create their own festive lanterns made from clay, perfect for home decor throughout the Christmas season.
What will the class cover and how will it be taught?
Through both group and one-to-one tutoring, alongside practical demonstrations, participants will learn how to work with clay to create different structures.
Each participant will complete one lantern by the end of the session. Please note that firing is required and you will need to collect your piece at a date specified by the Creative Learning Team, ahead of Christmas.
Who is it suitable for?
All abilities are welcome.
What do I need to bring?
All equipment and materials are provided, but please be aware clay can be messy!
Are there any additional costs?
All materials and equipment are included in the price.
About the tutors
Chris Barnes has a degree in Sculpture and has worked as a professional potter since 1992. He has taught Pottery to adults since 1994 and has experience in teaching Art in schools from the Infant to the Secondary School level.
