Join us for another fantastic night of poetry at the Warehouse Cafe! We have three poets taking to the stage…

Harriet Fraser's poetry emerges from her time outdoors and slow enquiry into natural and cultural history of place. She writes for the page but also sites poetry in the landscape through temporary installations. Her recent project, The Long View, with Rob Fraser, focusing on seven remarkably ordinary trees, features in The Long View book and touring exhibition, her collection Meadow shares poems created in Cumbria's High Borrowdale, and Bloodlines records two years with upland farmers. Her work has been exhibited across the UK and has been published in The Goose, Dark Mountain, The Telegraph, Toast Travels, The Treeline Anthology, Earthlines, Leaf and other magazines.

Caroline Gilfillan’s collection Yes (Hawthorn Press, 2010) won the East Anglian Book Award for the best poetry collection. She won the Suffolk Poetry Society’s George Crabbe award in 2012 and 2015. Her poetry collection Pepys (Hawthorn Press, 2012) was developed into a performance piece.  Her most recent book is Poet in Boots (Brewster Press, 2015).She also writes fiction and songs.

Katie Hale’s debut pamphlet, Breaking the Surface, was published by Flipped Eye in 2017.  She recently won the Jane Martin Poetry Prize and the Ware Poetry Prize, and was shortlisted for the Ballymaloe International Poetry Prize.  Her poetry has been published in Poetry Review, The North and Interpreter’s House, among others. Katie also writes fiction, and is currently being mentored for her first novel, My Name is Monster, by Penguin Random House on their inaugural WriteNow scheme.
