A new exhibition, Best of the Lakes, shows how local architects are meeting the challenge of good design in the unique landscape setting of the Lake District.
Organised by The Lancaster and Westmorland Society of Architects (LAWSA), and the Cumberland Society of Architects (CSA), in partnership with the Lake District National Park Authority.
The exhibition celebrates local architecture by local architects, showcasing selected projects that display excellence in design, sustainability and conservation.
Simon Blunden, president of LAWSA says:
“After the long, challenging months that the pandemic has presented, we are delighted to showcase the high quality of design, ingenuity and sensitivity to the spectacular context of the National Park that has been achieved by our local architects, their clients, and the skilled contractors with which they have worked. We look forward to inspiring the public with this fantastic exhibition, one that demonstrates the range and quality of gifted local designers.”
