Explore painting and drawing with five different projects led by our expert tutor. These are designed to give you a wide range of taster elements in art work and teach you skills and methods painlessly. Suitable for absolute beginners.
Frances Winder has exhibited with the Royal Academy and the Manchester Academy. Whilst working freelance as a illustrator for architects and advertising agencies, she has exhibited in several other galleries in the Manchester area.
Now living in Kendal, Cumbria, working from home and in association with Green Door Studio artists. She is very interested in exploring the printing process, especially collographs, and also in ceramics and machine embroidery.
Her main field remains painting – watercolour, gouache and oil pastel, acrylic – all fascinate her and draw her into the exploration of new approaches and techniques. She loves the wilderness areas, walking and gardening. Colour and light are important to her and provide the stimulus for many of her recent paintings. She is also drawn increasingly to more abstract expression of the landscapes and forms which have always attracted her.
