Get ready for chills, thrills and cult classics — this October and November, Brewery Arts is turning down the lights for Paranormal Picturehouse, a season of supernatural cinema packed with unforgettable screenings, live music, and spooky extras. From musicals and children’s favourites to gothic tales and gonzo nightmares, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
What’s On
Kicking off the season is Sunrise: A Song of Two Humans on Friday 24 October, accompanied by a stunning live Steinway piano performance featuring an original score. Fans of the supernatural romance can dive into a Twilight Saga marathon (25–30 October), while gothic charmers will love celebrating the 20th Anniversary of Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride on 28 October. Horror fans won’t want to miss David Cronenberg’s cult classic Videodrome (30 October) or the rock ’n’ roll spectacle of Bat Out of Hell: The Musical (30 October & 16 November).
Spooky Specials
The season also features a free-to-enter Halloween Quiz (30 October), plus a string of iconic anniversary screenings — The Descent (20 years), Demons (40 years), and Ghost (35 years). For those who dare, we close with a chilling double experience: The Haunting paired with a Guided Ghost Walk through Kendal on 2 November.
