New Season of Youth Classes Out Now

The Brewery’s new season of Youth Classes are out now! Our classes offer the opportunity to develop new skills, and the chance to create theatre, dance and visual art with a group of like-minded young people and experienced tutors. Choose from our classes listed below.

Junior Drama 7-11 years
A fun session for young people aged 7-11 who love to act, explore, use their imaginations, play lots of drama games and make new friends. This group welcomes newcomers to drama as well as those who might have a bit more experience.

Brewery Youth Theatre 11-14 years
Your chance to explore who you are and the world around you through drama. Learn lots of new skills and technique including vocal and physical work, improvisation, characterisation and performance skills. No experience necessary. Whether you have done loads of drama or have always fancied trying something new then this is the group for you. Perfect if you have just started secondary school and want to make some new friends.

Brewery Youth Theatre 15+ years
For young people who are a bit more serious about their theatre and prepared to be really committed to productions and developing skills and technique, whilst still having a lot of fun. This group will help you be the best that you can be. This group is performance led and, in the past, has performed many times at the Brewery and in other theatres, festivals and conferences. Our flagship youth theatre group that has kick started the careers of many talented performers.

Brewery Young Filmmakers- Beginners
This group is for anyone who has always wanted to have a go making a film but not sure where to start. Come along to this fun group, learn lots of new skills, make new friends and see your film on the big screen

Brewery Filmmakers Club
For more advanced filmmakers who have some experience and want to enhance their skills and learn lots of new techniques in a fun and supportive environment.

Brewery Future Creatives
If you are interested in creating and producing your own work, whether it’s writing, acting, music, filmmaking, design or any creative platform in which you want to have your voice heard then come and get involved with BFC. This group will be independent, self-managed but with appropriate support from BAC when required. Members of this group will also lead on the Brewery Young Ambassadors programme

Baby Dance
Come along and join us at our ‘moving and grooving, wriggling and giggling’ class for 18 months – 4 years and their parent/carers who enjoy movement play involving using props, bodies and imagination.

Get Creative 7-11 years
Fun and creative classes, where you and your friends are at the heart of the work you create. Lots of performance opportunities!

Brewery Youth Dance 11-14 years
Exciting and fun classes to develop contemporary dance skills alongside other dance styles, with a focus on creativity and performance.

Brewery Youth Dance 15+ years 
This class explores contemporary dance, creative dance, choreography, technique and performance. This class is perfect for dancers looking to widen their knowledge and experience of dance. This group is performance led and in that past has performed many times on the Brewery stage and at other festivals and theatres nationally. Our flagship youth dance group that has kick started the careers of many talented dancers.

Boys Moves 7-11 years
Boys Moves is a class dedicated to young men and how they move – and is dedicated to ensuring that boys love to dance! All the classes are a time to meet friends, share skills and have fun.

Boys Moves 11-16 years
This class is for older boys with some experience, or a real interest, in developing their skills and widening their knowledge of dance. A supportive group of young men exploring creative technique, choreography and performance.
