Meet Brewery Members: Kate, Keith and Tracey

Published on 10th October 2025

At Brewery Arts, we strive to ensure that our supporters have the best possible experience with us. Over the past few weeks, we’ve heard from some of our Brewery Members: Kate, Keith and Tracey.

What do you think about Brewery Arts in general?

Kate: I think you do well to reach out and offer a wide range of things to all different sections of communities. I’ve only been in Kendal for 10 years, so I don’t know a lot about its history, only from what other people have told me about it. It seems to have grown from quite small beginnings and remained rooted in the community, offering something for all the people of Kendal and the wider area. So, it seems to have maintained its roots, if you like, even as it has developed into a bigger, more professional organisation.

Keith: In one word – fantastic! It’s a great place, a wide range of arts and community involvement, a wide spectrum of the arts, music, opera, festivals, independent bands, a really wide scope, cinema, and eclectic tastes

Tracey:  I think that it is good to be able to access different activities there. A good offering.

What do you think about Brewery Arts Membership?

Kate: I think for what you pay, you get a lot of good information, you get access to, you get some preferential access to things, some discounts. I think it’s good, well done, I never really think twice about renewal. I might forget, but I don’t think of not renewing.

Keith: Very good, it’s a way of putting money into the community and arts.

Tracey: I join every year to give something back to the community

Do you know members get invited to Art Exhibition previews?

Kate: That’s really good.. Yeah, you can ask them what is that?. What are you thinking? Oh, it’s a swan.

Keith: Yes, I met the local artist Daniel Cooper, who works with charcoal, and it was great being able to meet him and talk about his work and inspiration. I’d really like to see him again. I enjoy talking to artists, and that is one of the great benefits of coming to Brewery Arts. Artists attend to their own merch stalls, and you always get a chat with them; it’s a really friendly place.

What could we do to improve our membership experience?

Tracey: I would prefer the cinema to be open every day.

Thank you to Kate, Keith and Tracey for taking part in these interviews.

Also, thank you to our 607 Brewery Arts Members and our Business Members. Having a strong membership means we can continue to deliver a varied and exciting programme of live and cinema events and community workshops. We strive to improve our offer and ensure we deliver in terms of artistic quality and value. In the above interviews, we mentioned members being invited to exhibition previews and enjoying the environment at Brewery Arts.

You too can enjoy these offers and support the Brewery Arts by signing up for our membership here.
