Looking for ways to keep the whole family entertained this May half term? We’ve got plenty happening at Brewery Arts, from exciting cinema screenings and creative workshops to opportunities for young artists to showcase their imagination. Whether it’s a family day out, a rainy afternoon activity, or an evening at the cinema, there’s something for all ages to enjoy.

Why not make a day of it and stop by our Bar & Restaurant while you’re here? We’re serving seasonal menus, coffee and cake, and a dedicated kids menu packed with family favourites, with plenty of space to relax together. Whether you’re joining us before a film, after a workshop, or simply enjoying the sunshine in Kendal’s largest beer garden, Brewery Arts is the perfect place to spend quality time with family and friends. Our Bar is open Tuesday-Saturday, 11am until late, with food served from 4-8pm.

Young Artist Open 2026

Submissions are now open for the Young Artist Open 2026, welcoming budding creatives aged 4-18. This year’s theme, Adventure, encourages young artists to explore, imagine and create through drawing, painting, sculpture, photography or any medium that inspires them. It’s the perfect chance for children and young people to get creative and share their work.

The Sheep Detectives (PG)
