Celebrate Summer with Our Unmissable July Lineup
We’re excited to welcome back Joan As Police Woman, who last performed at Brewery Arts in 2022. She returns with her new album Lemons, Limes and Orchids, a bold infusion of Jazz and ambient influences. Legendary Scottish trailblazers Peatbog Faeries also make a return, bringing their glorious mixture of traditional sounds and dance-floor grooves. July marks the start of our free live music season in our garden with Summer Sundays. Kicking things off are Dilutey Juice, the North-East drum and brass pioneers!
Our celebrated Community Dance Platform takes place on the 5 July. Join us for a fantastic evening as our students take to the stage for one night only, showcasing their talent and creativity. Step into the halls of East High with Kirkbie Kendal School as they perform the classic High School Musical on the 8-11 July.
Our creative learning workshops continue with Introduction to Stained Glass and Painting A Portrait In Oils, both starting on 5 July. Our social workshops continue in July with Art In The Bar and Crafternoon Brew, a great way to get creative and meet new people.
We’ve made changes in our Bar & Restaurant! We are now open every Sunday, serving food from 12-6pm (bar open till 7pm). Our new main menu features an array of fresh dishes and midweek we’re offering a £10 Pizza and Burger menu for everyone to enjoy. Book a table today!

Stage On Screen
Gillian Anderson, Vanessa Kirby, and Ben Foster lead the cast in National Theatre Live: A Streetcar Named Desire – Tennessee Williams’ timeless masterpiece. It is showing in our cinema on 17 July.

Creative Learning
Join us for wonderful workshops! Try something new, develop your craft or bring your friends along. We also have some fantastic weekly pay-as-you-go classes, perfect for those who are on the go and need some flexibility.
We have a great mix of creative workshops coming up. On 5 July, join our Introduction to Stained Glass session, where you’ll learn all the key skills to design and make your own beautiful small stained glass panel. Also, local artist Catherine MacDiarmid will be leading Portrait in Oils, guiding you step by step through the process of painting a portrait using oil paints. Perfect whether you’re just starting out or looking to improve your technique.
Try something more laid-back, our Social Workshops take place in our Bar & Restaurant and offer a fun, informal way to meet new people and get creative. Why not try Art In The Bar on 2 July or enjoy a relaxed afternoon at Crafternoon Brew on 3 July?
We have some fantastic pay-as-you-go classes for those who like a bit of flexibility. From fun for tots in Mini Makers and Mini Movers sessions, to something for adults who like to groove in our Get Moving class, we’ve got plenty for you to get involved with!
