Family Theatre

Family Theatre

Coinciding with Kendal Family Festival on 29 July, Kitchen Zoo will light up the Brewery Arts Theatre stage for little ones with The Tortoise and The Hare, a brand-new piece of family-friendly live adaptation of the classic Aesop fable featuring storytelling, clowning, live music and brilliant puppetry.

Family Cinema

The Cinema programme throughout the school summer holidays includes titles fit for the whole family, and children can meet the fire, water, land, and air residents of Element City in Disney Pixar’s highly anticipated Elemental (PG), or, watch the sweet, awkward Ruby discover that she is a direct descendant of the warrior Kraken queens in Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken (PG).

Summer Sundays

Summer Sunday

The whole community is invited to enjoy free live music in Kendal’s biggest beer garden every Sunday from 30 July to 3 September, featuring performances from Summer Sunday regulars, Uncle Carbuncle, The Seals, Meetwood Flac and other talented bands making their Summer Sunday debuts.

Take advantage of the Summer Sunday Food Menu featuring Brewery Arts’ notorious stone-baked pizzas, burgers and some of your favourite dishes, or, enjoy an American-style hotdog or chilli nachos outside in the Garden, with vegan, gluten-free, and children’s options always available.

Creative Learning

Get creative with your little ones by taking part in a vibrant and diverse selection of brand-new summer workshops and family activities delivered by experts, including the Great Big Building Day With Bricks McGee, which is perfect for LEGO-lovers, and Model Making with Aardman Animations; the artists behind Shaun The Sheep and Wallace & Gromit.
