National Cinema Weekend is here! Join us on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September for two days of big-screen entertainment, with cinema tickets just £4* across the weekend.

Check out the Cinema line-up.

We are  joining cinemas across the UK for National Cinema Weekend, with cinema tickets just £4 throughout Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September.

The two-day celebration is all about enjoying films where they were made to be seen – on the big screen, with immersive sound and the shared experience of watching a great story together.

There’s plenty to choose from across the weekend, whether you want to catch up on one of the summer’s biggest releases, discover something new or enjoy music on the big screen.

Audiences can journey into an epic adventure with The Odyssey, swing back into action with Spider-Man: A Brand New Day, enjoy music documentary James: Getting Away With It, or catch comedy Lady, alongside more films screening throughout the weekend.

Tickets for all standard screenings on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 September are just £4, making it the perfect excuse to head back to the Cinema or catch a film you’ve been meaning to see.

National Cinema Weekend is organised by cross-industry body Cinema First, building on the success of National Cinema Day. First launched in 2022, the event attracted 1.46 million admissions in a single day, rising to 1.56 million in 2023. In 2026, the celebration has expanded across an entire weekend, with more than 530 cinemas around the UK taking part.

Phil Clapp, Chief Executive of the UK Cinema Association and Director of Cinema First, said:

“Following the success of National Cinema Day, we’re excited to be extending the celebration to the entire weekend, giving cinemagoers greater flexibility to plan their visits, and the opportunity to watch the widest possible range of films, suiting all tastes.”

“We’re delighted to see so many cinemas getting behind National Cinema Weekend and look forward to welcoming audiences across the country on the 5th and 6th September.”

From blockbusters and independent cinema to comedy, family films and music documentaries, National Cinema Weekend is a chance to switch off from the outside world, settle into your seat and enjoy the magic of the big screen.
