Tuesdays | 1-3pm | Aimed at over 60’s
Our Community Theatre group is a welcoming and inclusive space for adults aged 60+ to explore creativity, develop performance skills and enjoy the social benefits of making theatre together. Whether you’re new to the stage or returning to performing, everyone is welcome.
Led by the Creative Learning Team, participants build confidence through drama games, improvisation, storytelling and performance, working collaboratively to create and present original theatre projects throughout the year in a professional theatre setting. It’s a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, challenge yourself creatively and have plenty of fun along the way.
Recent Productions include:
- Glide into Pride – Spoken word/poetry/sketches plus extracts from queer literature, from Oscar Wilde through Quentin Crisp to Kae Tempest, along with personal stories from queer Kendal.
- The Outrun by Stef Smith – Based on the book by Amy Liptrot.
An amateur production by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.
- Act Your Age Showcase 2025
What participants say…
