KENDAL YARNS AND YARNS IN THE YARDS FESTIVAL | 28, 29 & 30 July 2016
Welcome to our ground breaking festival of new plays and exciting art work inspired by Kendal and performed and displayed in the Yards and theatre venues of Kendal.
Kendal Community Theatre and the Brewery Art Centre have worked in collaboration to deliver what promises to be an amazing week of events, art and performances.
Yarns in the Yards
Discover new artwork and explore lesser known areas of Kendal’s Town Centre. See its history and characters presented in new and challenging artworks sited in a number of yards.
Explore vibrant new artwork housed in six yards in Kendal
Pick up a programme from the Brewery Arts Centre or the Festival Hub at the Town Hall throughout the festival 25-30 July with times and venues. Includes details of the route around all the different displays on the festival map, as well as information on theatre venues, guided walks and sites of interest.

Kendal Yarns
Join us to celebrate Kendal Yarns Festival of New Plays offering fifty-eight new fifteen minute plays by writers of all ages, produced and directed by professionals and performed FREE every day from 15th -30th July. Watch out for strolling players throughout the town in the morning.
The Festival closes with a Gala Day in Kendal Town Hall at 2.30 and 7.30pm on Saturday 30th

Brewery Members receive a 10% discount on most ticketed live performances and event tickets, sign in to your account to take advantage of these discounts.
All our ticket prices include a 50p commission. This fee helps us continue to fund our diverse programme. Creative learning classes & workshops are exempt.
Audio Description (AD) is available in Screen 1. Infrared audio system is available in both Cinema Screens 1 and 2. Induction loops (T) are in place in the Theatre, please ask for assistance on the door.
Some live events may carry strict age restrictions, these are outlined on our website. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times during evening events.
Unwaged* – For those in receipt of Universal Credit, Working Tax credits, Job Seekers Allowance or Income Support. Discounts may not be applicable on certain events.
