The Tuesday Social is our bi-weekly creative gathering in the Brewery Arts bar, taking place every first and third Tuesday of the month. Relaxed, inclusive, and thoughtfully curated, it’s a welcoming space for artists, musicians, creatives, and culture-lovers to connect, share ideas, and enjoy creativity in a sociable setting.
3 November 2026 – Jackie, Andy & Friends
17 November 2026 – Close Quarters
Jen Wilson, Sandra and Steve Harrison are “Close Quarters” a trio from Kendal/Staveley who sing acapella. Their repertoire includes songs from the tradition, contemporary writers, gospel, maritime and music hall – all sung with intuitive natural harmonies. They encourage their audience to sing with them, so many of their songs have a chorus or refrain. Steve has written several of the songs which feature in their repertoire, with subjects as diverse as walking routes, power stations and mining.
They appear at various folk clubs and festivals throughout the year and have hosted a successful monthly folk club in Staveley since 2016. They welcome contributors who have short stories, poems and tunes to offer. Appreciative listeners and audience are always welcome to enjoy the talents of the performers

A commission of £2.50 - £3.50 is included in the ticket price, to support our administration costs and the maintenance and development of our historic venue, helping ensure we are here for future generations. Creative learning classes & workshops are exempt.
