Mark Simmons: Quip Off The Mark

Comedy |
2nd February 2024

Starts 8pm | Tickets £17.50 | Theatre

Mark Simmons is a master of one-liners and was named UK Comics’ Comic 2022 – Best Act. He is now showcasing his hotly-anticipated, brand-new new show Quip Off The Mark at Brewery Arts.

Unlike your average one-liner show, there is a running theme throughout Quip Off The Mark. This year, Mark’s parents have sold the house he grew up in and he had to collect his box of stuff from the loft. Discover what’s in the box in this top-level, one-liner show structured in a way that is full of surprises.

Mark recently joined Dara O’Brian and Hugh Dennis on BBC2’s Mock The Week as a semi-regular, as well as appearing on BT Sport’s DIY pundit and The Rugby’s On.  Other TV appearances include ITV’s Out There, BBC’s 4 Extra Stands Up, a Channel 4 pilot starring alongside Bridget Christie, and BBC3’s One For The Road.

Hosting credits for Mark include News-ish and Film-ish on Fubar Radio alongside co-host Seann Walsh. Mark has reached further success by hosting a solo podcast, Jokes With Mark Simmons, where he invites fellow comics, such as Gary Delaney and Milton Jones, to discuss their written jokes that haven’t worked.
