Laurence Jones, the multi-award-winning guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter born in Liverpool, releases his seventh studio album via Marshall Records on August 25. ‘Bad Luck & The Blues’ is the first to feature Jones’s new’ ‘power-trio’ line-up
The British Blues-Rock-guitar-sensation has shared stages with Sir Van Morrison, Sir Ringo Starr, the late Jeff Beck and Johnny Winter, Joe Bonamassa, Status Quo, Glenn Hughes and Vintage Trouble among many others. In 2017, Buddy Guy, who once likened Laurence to “a young Eric Clapton”, invited the youngster to join him onstage at the Holland International Blues Festival before an audience of 15,000.
Laurence was introduced into the British Blues Awards’ Hall Of Fame after winning Young Artist Of The Year for three consecutive years.
Supporting Laurence Jones will be the 3-piece band from Birmingham, Blue Nation, who use Riff-based Melodic Blues Rock from a reservoir of influences, including Beatles, Cream, Zeppelin, Brit Pop 90’s, more recently Rival Sons and Vintage Trouble, to create their memorable sound.
