Drawing at Dusk | Thu 27 Apr | 7.15-8.45pm | £35 | 16+ yrs | Guest Artist Jess Emsley | The Helm, Serpentine Woods & Studio 3
Join us for a mindful, slow-paced, outdoor drawing workshop as the daylight fades. Drawing at Dusk will focus on deliberately tuning into dusk as a particular time of the day, and how it affects the appearance and feel of a familiar place, such as the lighting, sounds, shapes and atmosphere.
Participants will start with some warm-up activities where they try out several short drawing techniques and exercises, followed by an extended period of drawing as the light noticeably fades.

What do I need to bring with me?
The ground in wooded areas will be uneven underfoot, so please wear appropriate shoes and clothing for walking in all weather. Participants may wish to bring a head torch, a camera, and spectacles if required.
Are there any additional costs?
All materials are provided but participants may wish to bring their own equipment.
About the tutor
Jessica Emsley is an artist and walker, and an advocate for engagement with nature and the outdoors through creativity. Her work as both artist and facilitator aims to explore new forms of the creative process, with a particular focus on creative engagement with nature. Jessica has an MFA in Fine Art from Nottingham Trent University and is currently undertaking a PhD. She has also completed an ML, which allows her to lead more adventurous art workshops outdoors.

Some live events may carry strict age restrictions, these are outlined on our website. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult at all times during evening events.
