Walk: A walk exploring places and people in Wainwright’s life

Description: This walk will explore Kendal. It links places and people that played a significant role in Wainwright’s life and recreates his walk to work at the Town Hall from his house on Kendal Green. We will follow a section of “Wainwright’s Way”, a 126 mile long distance route from Blackburn to Haystacks.
Meeting Place: Outside the Town Hall
Meeting Time: Saturday 12th May at 9:50am for a 10:00am start
Leader / Organisation: Caroline Nichol and Derek Cockell / Wainwright Society
Equipment: Sensible footwear and clothing
Dogs: Yes if on a lead
Max No People: 30
Cost: £2 and please consider a donation to the Wainwright Society on the day
