Live Music

Enjoy foot-stomping live music from Dustbowl Revival and The Urban Voodoo Machine, celebrate new album releases with critically acclaimed singer-songwriters Sam Lee and Benjamin Francis Leftwich, and marvel at transglobal chart topper Maya Youssef.

Dustbowl Revival

Dustbowl Revival – 25 Jan

After spending years on the road, selling out hometown shows at LA’s famed Troubadour, headlining festivals and wowing crowds from Denmark to China, Dustbowl Revival bring their joyful, booty-shaking soul songs and cut-to-heart folk-rock ballads to Kendal.

The Urban Voodoo Machine – 16 Feb

The Urban Voodoo Machine’s own brand of Bourbon Soaked Gypsy Blues Bop’n’Stroll have swayed audiences all over the UK and Europe for 2 decades now – one of our picks of the season!

Sam Lee – 22 Mar

Singer-songwriter Sam Lee performs work from his new album, Songdreaming. This new release represents the latest stage in the development of Sam’s music, from its roots in traditional folk song to a new way of imagining and performing these old songs, making them relevant for a modern audience.

Benjamin Francis Leftwich – 5 Apr

Artistic transformation is often associated with a blast of fanfare – the dramatic unveiling of a new look, or lofty announcement of the revelation that prompted such a change. In the case of Benjamin Francis Leftwich, reinvention transpires with significantly more subtlety on his latest album, Some Things Break.

Maya Youssef ft. Zoe Rahman and Elizabeth Nott – 5 Apr

Hailed as ‘The queen of the qanun’, Maya Youssef is a globally renowned and award-winning qanun player and composer from Syria. For this incredible performance, Maya is joined by Zoe Rahman, one of the UK’s foremost jazz pianists and composers, and acclaimed percussionist Elizabeth Nott.

Josh Pugh – 23 Feb

Existin’ La Vida Loca is the brand-new stand-up show from Edinburgh Award-nominated viral sensation, Josh Pugh. Josh returns following a sell-out debut UK and Ireland Tour with a show about ‘enjoying yourself and doing your best.’

Rosie Jones – 15 Mar

Rosie Jones is on the road for a UK tour and, boy, she is EXCITED. Join Rosie as she ponders whether she is a national treasure, a little prick, or somewhere in between! This show is guaranteed to be full of unapologetic cheekiness, nonsensical fun and unadulterated JOY from the triple threat herself.
