The past two years have been challenging, but thanks to our dedicated community we are rebuilding and shaping a bright future. Our venue has been refurbished throughout and it is once again buzzing with live music, film, comedy, theatre, dance, exhibitions and creative learning.

To celebrate our 50th birthday we’re excited to announce a 12-month programme of stellar performances, family activities, club nights, open days, a host of free give-aways and much more.

The #BreweryArts50 programme will be a 12-month celebration from June 2022 until May 2023, with three seasons of headline shows by international artists. Renowned acts such as Joan As Police Woman and This Is The Kit are sure to be sensational performances that will make your heart sing. The world premiere of Hold Tight by Vincent Dance Theatre will stir your emotions, while Flight by Propellor will dazzle your senses and fire up your imagination.

The celebrations kick-off this summer, with a season of free outdoor music, family activities, DJ events and a creative summer camp. There will be open days and give-aways across the year and the programme will end with a big finale in May 2023. A key highlight will be a night curated by Pete Turner of Elbow, with special guests to be announced.

There will also be events and exhibitions to support the next generation of creative talent, through the Future Creatives programme.

In the spirit of celebration and to thank our fantastic community, we’ll be giving away gifts at all of our free events across the summer, from free popcorn to free cinema tickets.

Miriam Randall, CEO & Artistic Director said, “The past two years have been unlike any other, but thanks to the support of our community and the hard work of our incredible team, we are looking to a bright future. We’ve been busy developing our venue, booking exciting new events and building our team back. We’re looking forward to celebrating with everyone in Kendal and beyond – everyone is welcome!”
