They’ve done it again – delivering a simple tale, enchantingly told.”  The Stage

This is the story of an extraordinary explorer, a curious conjurer and pioneering problem-solver. You’ll find him pottering in his shed; planning his latest mission. He is learning to speak Penguin and hopes that you will too! When he arrives at the Antarctic will its icy wilderness meet his excited expectations? Will the penguins’ reception be frosty, or will the colony welcome him with open wings?!

With a playful energy and a mix of puppetry, music and song, this show is a delightful celebration of wild creativity and the joy of individuality. Waddle on down and join the expedition!

Alongside the show, Brewery Arts are running a Make a Penguin Puppet workshop from 14-23 December. Families are invited to come along and create a playful penguin puppet inspired by or in anticipation for the show. The puppet creations can be brought life in the venue’s magical pop-up puppet theatre!

I think it is incredibly important to introduce children to the magic of theatre from a young age and this was by far the best performance to start a passion!… One of the best performances I have seen in many years.– Audience member

Take a child (by which I mean, anyone from 3 to 103) to a show by Stuff and Nonsense.  Watch how, within a minute or two their smile begins to widen, their mind starts to expand – then notice their expressions of delight and wonder…Stuff and Nonsense make the world a better place.”- Chris Chibnall, Executive Producer, Doctor Who and TV Writer (Broadchurch, Torchwood)
