50th Anniversary celebrations continue at Brewery Arts’ Summer Open Day

Published on 19th August 2022

Summer Open Day | Sunday 28 August | 12-5pm | Free

Brewery Arts is opening its venue doors to the community for a free Summer Open Day, one of many events within a year-long programme of 50th Anniversary celebrations.

Filled with fun for the whole family, free activities include outdoor family theatre, pottery, contemporary dance, music and filmmaking taster sessions; and special giveaways, from popcorn to cinema tickets.

Each newly refurbished venue will be accessible on the day for the public to fully experience Brewery Arts, including our exclusive Digital Lounge perfect for gaming, and the Cinema showing selected trailers from the Brewery Arts cinema programme, alongside a specially curated selected of adventure films from Kendal Mountain Festival.

Budding young artists can let loose with neon paint and glo-sticks at our Kids Rave in the Malt Room, and also explore our gallery spaces to take inspiration from the Nurturing Creativity x Folded Zine exhibition.

Bring a blanket and round up your loved ones because The Wagon of Dreams by Jellyfish Theatre is returning for another year with their family theatre show in our beautiful garden, but don’t worry about a picnic, as our Bar & Restaurant will be open, with pizzas and nachos available throughout the day.

There have been many memories shared at Brewery Arts over the last 50 years, and we’d love to hear yours. Come and chat to us at our Summer Open Day or add your comments and photos to our memory box in the Foyer so that your memories can live on in Brewery Arts history.

Keep up to date with the celebrations by joining our mailing list, or join the conversation on social media using #BreweryArts50 and #BreweryArtsOpenDay.
